African Cloth Doll

Our newest additions are from West Africa. Ayo is from Nigeria (on the left). Her name means 'joy '. She comes wearing a West African dress consisting of a wraparound, a frilled blouse with puffed sleeves, a matching scarf that can be tied in many ways, and matching red shoes. Ayo's hair is carefully plaited in 'corn rows' with beads plaited in at the end. Kofi (on the right) comes from Ghana. His name means 'born on Friday'. He comes wearing a Buba, that is common to most West African countries, and sandals. His cap is made in a Kente print, a traditional design that is particular to Ghana. Both dolls are 40 cm in height, meet European standards and fit all of EWE's dolls' outfits.
